I recently took the “Are you earning what you deserve?” quiz on Excelle.com (a great site for women, by the way), and it was pretty accurate. From the 25 questions it asks, these were my results:
Practical and Personable
With your skills, you could be earning up to $100,000 per year. Begin looking for Job Openings near you. As a Practical type, people look to you when they need the job to get done. On the one hand, you should take this as a compliment. But you should also be aware that sometimes it might lead to you getting stuck cleaning up other people's messes. You're sometimes too modest about your talents, which can affect the perception of you in the eyes of higher-ups. And since you probably like to work independently, you might not get as many outspoken kudos from coworkers as others who work in groups more than you. But as long as you continue to put your unique spin on the projects at hand, people will see how valuable your contributions really are. Especially if you find a way to get a better handle on your skills understand what makes you love one project and dread another. That's something you can have a lot more control over if you make sure you're in the right job.
