30 Things I'd Like To Do Before I Turn 30

Recently, I put pen to paper and came up with a list of "30 things I'd like to do before I turn 30." It's not a bucket list per se, but it is a list that is meant to stretch me in some areas. Without any further ado, here it is in all its glory:

  1. Spend Christmas away from home (preferably in a different country).
  2. Go skydiving.
  3. Learn how to ski.
  4. Start a blog.
  5. Read 2 of the 2000 books on my bookshelf.
  6. Go on vacation by myself.
  7. Get my passport stamped again.
  8. Serve on the PTA at my son's school.
  9. Go skinny dipping. :)
  10. Buy myself a diamond ring.
  11. Pay off my consumer credit card debt.
  12. Develop chapter headings for my first book.
  13. Write a Bible study.
  14. Take a helicopter ride.
  15. Have someone pick out a wardrobe and do my hair and makeup for a special event.
  16. Honor my military dad at his gravesite.
  17. Re-paint my son's room in the motif of his favorite football team.
  18. Earn a raise and promotion at work.
  19. Give to a new charity.
  20. Mentor a young female.
  21. Grow my relationship with my father's side of the family.
  22. Forgive. (and forgive. and forgive. and forgive.)
  23. Leave the past in the past.
  24. Try a local, hole-in-the-wall restaurant.
  25. Have an expensive dinner and not worry about the bill.
  26. Go to a comedy show.
  27. Win big in Vegas.
  28. Learn to let someone love me for me.
  29. Try a new lipstick color.
  30. Keep family first.
Well, there it is. Each item on my "30 list" means something very special to me. I challenge you to take some time and develop your own bucket list. You may be surprised at what you come up with. ;) Feel free to share!

These are some great goals. I've been working on a 65 in 365 list that I'm hoping to post soon (ideally before the end of the year so I have all of 2009 to do them!). Have a great day!
