Recently, I put pen to paper and came up with a list of "30 things I'd like to do before I turn 30." It's not a bucket list per se, but it is a list that is meant to stretch me in some areas. Without any further ado, here it is in all its glory:
- Spend Christmas away from home (preferably in a different country).
- Go skydiving.
- Learn how to ski.
- Start a blog.
- Read 2 of the 2000 books on my bookshelf.
- Go on vacation by myself.
- Get my passport stamped again.
- Serve on the PTA at my son's school.
- Go skinny dipping. :)
- Buy myself a diamond ring.
- Pay off my consumer credit card debt.
- Develop chapter headings for my first book.
- Write a Bible study.
- Take a helicopter ride.
- Have someone pick out a wardrobe and do my hair and makeup for a special event.
- Honor my military dad at his gravesite.
- Re-paint my son's room in the motif of his favorite football team.
- Earn a raise and promotion at work.
- Give to a new charity.
- Mentor a young female.
- Grow my relationship with my father's side of the family.
- Forgive. (and forgive. and forgive. and forgive.)
- Leave the past in the past.
- Try a local, hole-in-the-wall restaurant.
- Have an expensive dinner and not worry about the bill.
- Go to a comedy show.
- Win big in Vegas.
- Learn to let someone love me for me.
- Try a new lipstick color.
- Keep family first.
Well, there it is. Each item on my "30 list" means something very special to me. I challenge you to take some time and develop your own bucket list. You may be surprised at what you come up with. ;) Feel free to share!

These are some great goals. I've been working on a 65 in 365 list that I'm hoping to post soon (ideally before the end of the year so I have all of 2009 to do them!). Have a great day!
